Ian Johnston - the rider

Ian Johnston, the riderIan Johnston is the man who needs your support. At work he’s a humble 44 yr old policeman. At rest, he’s an athelete who likes a challenge - especially when the result benefits someone else.

In 2005 Ian cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats in aid of Cancer Care Lancaster in just FOUR days! This year he has chosen to cycle the entire 2008 Tour de France route - stage by stage, just like the professionals and with two rest days, just like the professionals.

On average, that works out at about 100 miles a day so he’ll need those two rest days!
